CABERNET SAUVIGNON: THE WINE ADVOCATE. 89 POINTS. ROBERT M. PARKER, JR. OCT 30, 2015 – 2013 Vintage
10/30/2015
A sleeper selection is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma, Napa and Lake Counties. A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petite Sirah, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, this is actually an excellent value, with a deep, dark ruby/purple color and a lively nose of vibrant blackcurrants, black cherries, loamy soil notes and a touch of spice box. It’s very pure and fruit-driven, with plenty of sweet, supple tannins and a surprisingly long finish. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
